From the lake & flower promenade to the mountains and vineyards, Montreux Riviera offers a breath-taking landscape that is worth a postcard.\nIt’s an authentic little piece of paradise that has attracted many artists, writers and travellers in search of beauty, tranquillity and… inspiration.\nA unique region, attached to its roots but open to the world, Montreux Riviera, home of the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival & Christmas market.\nMontreux is beautiful during entire year- November offers unusual flowers at the lake promenade, trees are dressed with incredible colours and the forests nearby whisper the mystery of the autumn.\nNot many know that the biggest treasures in Montreux are found  above the town- in the forest, waterfalls, tropical – like plants, a result of authentic micro climate in the region.\nWe invite you for a day of wellbeing- through the outer & inner nature. We will meet outdoors to remember the power of walking, mindfulness and the nature. Then, we will continue our journey in a beautiful yoga studio in Montreux- here we will integrate the experience of outdoors and go deeper within ourselves with a breathing and yoga session. We will close the day with an inspiring circle.\n​\n\n\n   \n\n\nIntentions of the 1 day retreat\n\n\nThe diversity of the landscape, the natural biodiversity, breath-taking views make this place a unique setting for nature retreat- allowing to experience nature from different points of connection, experiencing the elements, ancient trees, the fruits of autumn. A delight for the mind, body and soul!\nDuring this one day you will have a chance to experience nature differently vs what you are used to, you will learn about research based benefits of walking and being in a natural setting. As you connect with nature differently, you might notice also that your connection with yourself also shifts.\nTime in nature is restoring, relaxing, rejuvenating.\nYou will learn about holistic wellbeing through nature- physical, emotional and spiritual.\nYoga practice after being in nature, is a powerful way to integrate the experience and really tune even deeper in self, your own wishes and needs. \nWe invite you to ground, reconnect, let go and embrace the season you are in at the moment with ease & compassion.\nYou will leave nourished, supported by community of like minded people and inspiration of how to better take care of yourself in your day to day life.\n\n\nActivities of 1 day retreat\n\n\n\n\n​Nature connection practices:  Forest/nature Therapy, connect with 5 senses, explore the 5 elements (Japanese Shinrin Yoku). \n\n\nMindful walking\n\n\nLearning about holistic wellbeing through nature\n\n\nWalking: 6km, 500m up\n\n\nYoga (vinyasa  and yin) & breathing techniques\n\n\n\n\nThe importance of connection to nature\n\n\nWhile simply being in a natural environment is beneficial to human health, it is a deeper contact and engagement-connection- with nature that has been shown to promote long-term improvements in mental health and emotional wellbeing.\nLatest research shows that simply going outside  is not enough to improve health on its own. Its what you do with time outdoors that matters. \nNature engagement is how we access the goodness of nature for mental wellbeing- we need to develop a meaningful, more emotional relationship. Time and true moments of connection matter.\n\n\n   \n\n\nThe power of yoga practice\n\n\nYoga benefits to mental health are being researched and discovered as you read this. Today science is backing up what ancient yogis knew intuitively and practiced over thousands of years: breath, meditation and movement matter in fostering mind and body connection and your overall health.\n\n\n\n\n\nLogistical details & Price\n\n\n\n\nWe will meet: November 9th 9.44 am in Glion train station\n\n\nWe will finish: in Montreux around 6pm\n\n\nPrice: 165 CHF including healthy picnic lunch\n\n\nGear needed: anti-slippery shoes, trail running or ideally hiking boots, comfortable sporty clothes, yoga pants & blouse, back pack of approx 25L, rain gear TBC few days before the outing\n\n\nRetreat will finish in Yoga K studio- 5min from the train station\n\n\n\nYour lunch picnic teaser\n\n\nLunch will be created by a woman solopreneur based in Vevey- Celia a creator of WOFF – healthy gourmet food. Since then, most of her time she spends outside- climbing, hiking, wild camping, walking in the forests, parks and other natural places. She has become relentless hiker and is now passionate to share the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps with the others. Retreat participants often say that Ruta’s passion for Nature is contagious.\nRuta is a professional mountain leader ( Association of Mountain Guides in Switzerland), neuro-coach (Neuroleadership Institute, London), and forest therapy guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, USA).\nBy creating Be Outside Coaching movement, she has connected her 2 major passions: activities outside and human development. Be Outside Coaching delivers immersive and holistic Nature experiences in the different corners of pristine the Swiss Alps.\nHer Nature Retreats are now well known in Switzerland and she is excited to bring her experience and passion to her home land- Lithuania.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKotryna\n\n\nKotryna, a certified yoga and meditation teacher, encourages and invites you to listen to yourself & follow your heart’s guidance, cultivate self love and be your own best version on the yoga mat and off the mat.  To explore your inner landscape Kotryna uses three yoga modalities: asana, breath (pranayama) and meditation. Kotryna loves teaching HATHA yoga with slow vinyasa style. She shows different variations and movements to make sure her classes are beginner friendly and also interesting for ‘seasoned’ practitioners.\nKotryna has a business background and came to yoga from the Swiss corporate world.
