SUMMARY:Alpstein Explorer. 4 day Trekking Experience September 10-13th
DESCRIPTION:About\nImagine- your feet on a wild mountain trail breathing in fresh oxygen and beauty that come in the form of views, sounds and smells.. standing in the awe of mountain majesty, taking it all in with your eyes and heart.\nWitnessing the most beautiful show on Earth: the sound of running streams far below, the melody of peaceful cowbells in a meadow , a profound light heating up your face as the sun goes down…the smell of fresh nature and a cool crisp breeze on your body and indescribable view that is almost hard to absorb.\nWelcome to Alpstein Explorer 4 day trekking experience in the Swiss Alps.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlpstein is special because it packs dramatic alpine scenery, cultural heritage, and accessibility into a surprisingly compact area. Its landscape is strikingly rugged. Sharp limestone ridges, narrow knife-edge trails, and steep rock faces give it a wild, almost Dolomite-like character — yet it rises abruptly from gentle green hills.\nIt’s also incredibly scenic for its size. Iconic spots such as Seealpsee with its emerald waters, and the cliff-hugging Aescher-Wildkirchli, create postcard-perfect alpine moments within short hiking distances.\nThis region blends nature with living tradition- it is known for its strong cultural identity — traditional dress, alpine farming, cheese-making, and folk music — which gives the mountains a warm, human touch rather than a remote wilderness feel. Finally, it’s accessible yet adventurous.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe natural beauty of Nature can help to inspire feelings of awe and wonder, which can have a profound effect on the human spirit. The simple act of being in nature can help to put things into perspective, providing a sense of grounding and balance. We will take plenty of time to soak in the beauty during this trek.\nDesigned for adventurous hikers who crave both challenge and charm as well as quietness, the Alpstein Explorer Trek is an immersive escape into one of the Switzerland’s most captivating mountain landscapes.\nWe will discover some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland, yet very secluded and authentic.\nEvery day we will hike for 4-6 hours (break time included) with a stable pace, taking time for being, enjoy the views, practice mindfulness and eating outside.\nWe will take the most beautiful hikes in the region and probably entire Switzerland ( explored and carefully created by Ruta).\nWe will stay in 3 different mountain hotels in Alpstein region- each unique in its own way.\nAnd yes, we will also stay in Aescher- the most legendary B&B in the entire Switzerland\n\nThe route blends panoramic ridge walks with peaceful pasture trails, offering ever-changing views across Eastern Switzerland.\nFrom sunrise light spilling over sharp summits to evenings spent in cozy alpine inns, each day reveals a new layer of the regions wild beauty and living traditions.\n\nPhysical effort each day (this is only walking time excluding breaks):\nDay 1: 700m up, 600m down, 10km. Walking time: 4 hours\nDay 2: 500 m up,  500 m down, 5 km. Walking time: 2h plus extra will be added depending on a group situation\nDay 3: 700m up, 760m down, 8km. Walking time: 3 hours 30min\nDay 4: 600m up, 1100m down, 12km. Walking time: 4 hours 30min\nDuring 4 days we will hike, explore mountain waterfalls, lakes, wild flowers, local life, valleys and ourselves.\n\nPure Happiness…\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nTypical day\n\n\n07.30 am   Breakfast\n08.45 am   Hike Start\n10.30 am   Hiking hiking and hiking \n12.00 pm   Lunch Outside\n03.30 pm   Arrival to mountain hotel / hut\n04.00 pm   Enjoying Drinks/ Local Tart\n05.00 pm   Stretching\n06.00 pm   Personal Time\n07.00 pm   Diner\n\n09.30 pm Sunset Watch\n\nP.S: we take a break time approx every hour. The goal is to enjoy nature and steps rather than rushing through.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nItinerary\n\n\nWe will start in a village of Wildhaus (Canton St Gallen) known for its authenticity and secludness  and finish in Brulisau ( this is an itinerary trek).\nHave you ever dreamed of crossing the entire mountain range and end up in a completely secluded different valley where the only sound you hear is your breath and mountain streams?\nWe will stay in history rich swiss mountain hotels. This is already quite an experience! All the hotels are located on the mountain tops. And this is already quite an experience!\nDay 1: after getting to know each other, we will  take a cable car and then start our first stunning hike towards Alpstein. This is a stunning path full of marmottes!\nDay 2: after spending a night in a beautiful mountain hotel, we will set off to a wild trail to reach another mountain hotel- located in the middle of nowhere.\nDay 3: after breakfast we will set off for another beautiful day to reach Aescher mountain B&B. This day will take our breath away in all its possible senses.\nDay 4: after breakfast and a very unique experience at the Aescher, we will start going down to yet another very secluded Valley to witness the beauty of the Sealpsee lake\nOne of the things that I love the most about trekking is that moment when, after long day outside, hiking, soaking it all in and sometimes going through challenging terrains, once of the sudden, you arrive to the mountain hotel Your shelter for the night, your home – where everyone is welcome, no matter your status, physical condition and level of tiredness .’                               \n Ruta, Be Outside Coaching\nWhat to look forward to?\n\nHiking like the Swiss Do or even better…\nNature Connection Practices\nBreathtaking views\nFree time for personal reflection/relaxation\nMindfulness in the Mountains\nCommunity – supportive spirit\nIntimate experience: this trek is limited to 9 participants max\n\n\nExtras:\n• Night Hiking and Milky Way Observation\n• Cow bell & concert 😊\n• Inspiring & Empowering group spirit\n\n\nI’d sit for hours watching the birds or squirrels, or looking into the faces of flowers. When I discovered a new plant, I sat beside it for a minute or a day, to make its acquaintance and try to hear what it had to tell me.’ John Muir, My Life with Nature\n\n\nWe will stay in an authentic and very local mountain hotels/homes where traditions are still alive. Just staying here is already an experience that is difficult to find in nowadays….\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nMountain Place to Stay Night 1 (the names I keep for participants only)\nStay at 1470m above sea level in the middle of the mountain\n\n\nMountain Place to Stay Night 2\n\nStay at 1500 m above sea level in the middle of the mountain\n\nMountain Place to Stay Night 3\n\nStay in Aescher, the legendary mountain B&B at 1600m\n\n\nLogistics and other details (on night 3 all participants will sleep in the bunk beds in Acher B&B)\nSemi deluxe private rooms on night 1&2: 1050 CHF\nSemi deluxe for 2 private rooms on night 1&2: 1950 CHF\nExplorer shared room during all nights: 890 CHF (3-4 people)\nNote: none of the rooms have private bathrooms)\nWhat is included in the price?\n\nAccommodation during retreat: in an authentic high-quality mountain houses.\nBreakfast and lunch picnic on day 2,3 & 4\nAll activities during the trek by certified mountain leader: hiking, exercise, nature connection practices\n\nWhat is not included in the price\n\nDinners during the trek (around 30-40 CHF per dinner)\nYour flight or train tickets from home country to Switzerland;\nTransportation to the trek starting point (meeting point of the trek)\nTravel Insurance\nAlcoholic drinks\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nLogistics details:\nNeed to be in Wildhaus train station by 10 am on September 10th, 2026\nWe will finish in Wassserauen on September 13th at 3pm\nCombinable with more extensive travels in Switzerland – advice available upon request.\nPayment and Cancellation Policy\n50% or 100% of the price needs to be paid upon the booking the trip\nIf 50% is paid, then the rest needs to be paid until August 10th, 2026\n50% is refundable until August 10th 2026. Since then, most of her time she spends outside- climbing, hiking, wild camping, walking in the forests, parks and other natural places. She has become over-passionate about hiking and is now keen to share the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps with the others. During her outings she invites participants to experience nature differently: through mindfulness, nature connection practices & human element.\nRuta is a professional mountain leader ( Association of Mountain Guides in Switzerland), neuro-coach (Neuroleadership Institute, London), and forest therapy guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, USA). \nBy creating Be Outside Coaching movement, she has connected her 2 major passions: activities outside and human development. Be Outside Coaching delivers immersive and holistic Nature experiences in the different corners of the Swiss Alps. So far Ruta has created over 70 treks and retreats and led with more than 1000 people outdoors.\n ‘ There is yet another way to be, to see , to feel, to lead. You will never hike the same way again after experiencing this.’  – Be Outside Coaching\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nWhat do previous participants say about Be Outside Coaching?\n‘To be in nature means to experience everything: the sounds, plants, trees- to touch, to feel how everything is changing. It’s amazing to see how much nature gives to us. We must experience this again and again. I am so happy that I found out about the Be Outside Coaching.\nWhat Ruta does in those Nature Retreats is amazing and I wish to everyone to experience it.\n\n\nJurgita, teacher and school coordinator\n\n\n\nCan’t wait to see you in the mountains!\n\n\nFeel free to contact me in case of any question.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n Your name\n \n\n Your email\n \n\n Event name\n \n\n Your message (optional)\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
