About
Imagine- your feet on a wild mountain trail breathing in fresh oxygen and beauty that come in the form of views, sounds and smells.. standing in the awe of mountain majesty, taking it all in with your eyes and heart.
Witnessing the most beautiful show on Earth: the sound of running streams far below, the melody of peaceful cowbells in a meadow , a profound light heating up your face as the sun goes down…the smell of fresh nature and a cool crisp breeze on your body and indescribable view that is almost hard to absorb.
Welcome to Alpstein Explorer 4 day trekking experience in the Swiss Alps.

The natural beauty of Nature can help to inspire feelings of awe and wonder, which can have a profound effect on the human spirit. The simple act of being in nature can help to put things into perspective, providing a sense of grounding and balance. We will take plenty of time to soak in the beauty during this trek.
Designed for adventurous hikers who crave both challenge and charm as well as quietness, the Alpstein Explorer Trek is an immersive escape into one of the Switzerland’s most captivating mountain landscapes.
We will discover some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland, yet very secluded and authentic.
Every day we will hike for 4-6 hours (break time included) with a stable pace, taking time for being, enjoy the views, practice mindfulness and eating outside.
We will take the most beautiful hikes in the region and probably entire Switzerland ( explored and carefully created by Ruta).
We will stay in 3 different mountain hotels in Alpstein region- each unique in its own way.
And yes, we will also stay in Aescher- the most legendary B&B in the entire Switzerland

The route blends panoramic ridge walks with peaceful pasture trails, offering ever-changing views across Eastern Switzerland.
From sunrise light spilling over sharp summits to evenings spent in cozy alpine inns, each day reveals a new layer of the regions wild beauty and living traditions.

Day 4: after breakfast and a very unique experience at the Aescher, we will start going down to yet another very secluded Valley to witness the beauty of the Sealpsee lake
One of the things that I love the most about trekking is that moment when, after long day outside, hiking, soaking it all in and sometimes going through challenging terrains, once of the sudden, you arrive to the mountain hotel Your shelter for the night, your home – where everyone is welcome, no matter your status, physical condition and level of tiredness .’

About trek leader- Ruta

Ruta has done her first hike back in 2013- she then realized that the real life is not happening in the indoor- office environment but rather outside.
This made her realize that she was missing something important in her life- connection with Nature. Since then, most of her time she spends outside- climbing, hiking, wild camping, walking in the forests, parks and other natural places. She has become over-passionate about hiking and is now keen to share the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps with the others. During her outings she invites participants to experience nature differently: through mindfulness, nature connection practices & human element.
Ruta is a professional mountain leader ( Association of Mountain Guides in Switzerland), neuro-coach (Neuroleadership Institute, London), and forest therapy guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, USA).
By creating Be Outside Coaching movement, she has connected her 2 major passions: activities outside and human development. Be Outside Coaching delivers immersive and holistic Nature experiences in the different corners of the Swiss Alps. So far Ruta has created over 70 treks and retreats and led with more than 1000 people outdoors.
‘ There is yet another way to be, to see , to feel, to lead. You will never hike the same way again after experiencing this.’ – Be Outside Coaching
What do previous participants say about Be Outside Coaching?
‘To be in nature means to experience everything: the sounds, plants, trees- to touch, to feel how everything is changing. It’s amazing to see how much nature gives to us. We must experience this again and again. I am so happy that I found out about the Be Outside Coaching.
What Ruta does in those Nature Retreats is amazing and I wish to everyone to experience it.
