About the place where we will stay
Five kilometers through crunching snow, through shady forest and gorge, and suddenly you emerge from dark fir trees into a clearing. Peace and quiet – you can hear the snowflakes falling – and at times the bright chime of the chapel bells. No artificial light disturbs the starry night sky. The proximity of the vast spruce and larch forest, combined with the sweeping view across the pristine valley to the mountain horizon of the Lower Engadine, inspires wonder and reflection.
Simple living at a high standard: Daily hospitality, well-maintained accommodation, and self-sufficient farming are the norm at Zuort – formerly a hospice on the old trade route from the Engadine to the Paznaun Valley. The grandeur of the place becomes a truly personal experience. The attentive care at Zuort Farm and the excellent cuisine contribute to this pleasant experience.
