Imagine- your feet on a wild mountain trail breathing in fresh oxygen and beauty that come in the form of views, sounds and smells.. walking through the majesty of the wild mountain lakes and grandiose landscape when, after a long day outside you sleep in a secluded and authentic mountain hut?
Welcome to 5 day trekking and nature experience from Bernese Oberland to Valais.
This tour will be a voyage of discovery and authenticity. From the idyllic lakes, leading you through an area of Switzerland that few people are familiar with. The trip on foot contours round the Wildhorn rewarding hikers with magnificent views. The impressive panoramas of glaciers, lakes and wild flowers will meet you every day of this trek.
Designed for the medium to advanced level hikers and anyone who would like to discover mountain in a safe but wild environment. Every day you will hike for 4-5 hours with a stable pace, taking time for being, immersing into incredible views and enjoying group spirit.
We will stay in the magnificent and authentic Swiss mountain huts in the middle of the nature wilderness. Each cabin is different and authentic in its own way.

DAY 1: Lauenen- Geltenhutte

DAY 3: Wildhornhutte- Wildstrubelhutte
Altitude difference +: + 1160 m
Altitude difference -: – 600m
Distance: 11 km
Walking Time: 5 hours
DAY 4: Wildstrubellhutte – Colombire
Altitude gain +: + 650 m
Altitude loss -: – 1300m
Distance: 13 km
Timing: 4 hours 40min
DAY 5: Colombire – Leukerbard (Civilisation)
Altitude gain +: + 350 m
Altitude loss -: – 1600 m
Distance: 12 km
Timing: 4 hours
We will stay in 4 different huts, each very special with its history and setting.

What is included in the price?
Professional services by a qualified mountain leader
All meals during the trek (breakfast, lunch, dinner, except lunch on day 1). All meals will be made in the mountain huts- mostly local and high quality products.
Carefully prepared routes and program
Accommodation during the trek: in an authentic high-quality mountain cabins.
Night 3 will be spent in a very special place which si not a hut but a recently renovated hameau.

We will finish in Leukerbad on August 23d at 4pm.
Combinable with more extensive travels in Switzerland – advice available upon request.

100% of the price needs to be paid upon the booking the trip. Reimbursable until 2 months before the trip, 50% non reimbursable 2 months before the trip. 1 month before the trip: 100% non reimbursable.

Your outing leader- Ruta
Ruta has done her first hike back in 2013- she then realized that the real life is not happening in the indoor- office environment but rather outside.
This made her realize that she was missing something important in her life- connection with Nature. Since then, most of her time she spends outside- climbing, hiking, wild camping, walking in the forests, parks and other natural places. She has become hiking ‚guru‘ and is now passionate to share the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps with the others. During her outings she invites participants to experience nature differently: through mindfulness, nature connection practices & human element.
Retreat participants often say that Ruta’s passion for Nature is contagious.
Ruta is a professional mountain leader ( Association of Mountain Guides in Switzerland), neuro-coach (Neuroleadership Institute, London), and forest therapy guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, USA).
By creating Be Outside Coaching movement, she has connected her 2 major passions: activities outside and human development. Be Outside Coaching delivers immersive and holistic Nature experiences in the different corners of the Swiss Alps.
