The Val d’Anniviers is a mountain destination located in Valais in the heart of the Swiss Alps with picturesque villages and 4,000 m peaks. This valley is a paradise for nature lovers looking for fun and unique experiences and those who love activities in the great outdoors. This valley is also

home to a collection of villages. Between charm, authenticity and nature: each of them captivate you with its specific features and unique character.

Outdoor Adventure is my favorite! Let me take you on adventure in the mountains. Into the wilderness and the majesty of the mountains.

After snow shoeing through a wild terrain, we will explore glacial ice cave  and then return to go to another part of the valley where different peaks and historical hotel awaits.

Created for beginners with strong fitness level or medium  level hikers.

Discover breath-taking landscape in a safe way. Each day we will hike for 4-5 hours with a stable pace, taking time for being, immersing into incredible views and enjoying group spirit.

We will stay in the magnificent and authentic Swiss historical hotel in the middle of the nature wilderness. This is already an experience!

Itinerary:

St-Luc- hotel Weisshorn- Zinal- Ice Cave - Zinal

Total Physical effort:

Day 1: 650m +, 500 m-, 9km

Day 2: 400-500m+, 500m-, 8km

historical hotel of weisshorn

The location of the Hotel Weisshorn is as spectacular as the mountains of the Val d'Anniviers. It is located on the right side of the valley at 2,337 meters above sea level, surrounded by majestic four-thousanders in Valais. The Weisshorn can only be reached on foot or with skins in winter! You will be rewarded for the climb with a magnificent mountain world and pure nature away from any hustle and bustle.

logistics and price

PRICE:

Shared room (2 people in the room) with shared bathroom: 390 CHF

Private single room with shared bathroom: 450 CHF

Double room for single use: 550 CHF

What is included in the price?

Professional services by a qualified mountain leader

All meals during the trek (breakfast, lunch, dinner), except lunch on day 1).

Carefully prepared routes and program

Accommodation during the trek:  in an authentic high-quality Swiss Historical Hotel.

Cable car and snow machine transfer

What is not included in the price​

  • Transportation to the start of the trek and back

  • Drinks

  • Travel Insurance

Logistics details:

Need to be in Saint Luc by 10 am on March 1sr, 2025, we will finish on

March 2d in Zinal at around 4pm

Please plan your trip accordingly.

Combinable with more extensive travels in Canton Valais– advice available upon request.

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Due to relatively small amount, the total needs to be paid upon registration. (to minimize admin tasks)

 If wish to pay 50%, need to ask for it upon registration.

Liza- outing leader

Liza has been discovering the wonderful world of the Alps since 2012 when she moved to Switzerland. 

Her main passions  in the mountains are hiking, snow shoeing and skiing. She is inspired by Nature and the power that it gives to human beings and is now passionate to share it with others. 

Liza has become a Mountain Leader by Association of Mountain Guides in Switzerland - she loves sharing interesting stories about flowers, animals, geology or culture with the participants of the trek.

She speaks fluently French, English and Russian as well as has a notion of Chinese and German.
